Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Overpass has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Location

If you grant location access, your location is used only on your device to calculate which satellite passes are visible from where you are. Your location is never transmitted off your device and is never stored on any server. You can decline location access and enter coordinates manually instead.

Network

Overpass connects only to celestrak.org over HTTPS to download public satellite orbital element sets. This request contains no personal information about you; it only fetches public data files. After the first download, predictions work offline.

Calendar

If you tap “Add to Calendar,” Overpass writes a single event to your calendar. It has write-only access and does not read your calendar.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Overpass schedules local reminders on your device before a pass. No notification data is sent to us.

Purchases

“Overpass Unlimited” is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple’s privacy policy governs that transaction.

Children

Overpass is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
