Golden Wattle is an independent study aid for the Australian citizenship test, published by Aphelion Engineering Pty Ltd (ACN 697 870 812 · ABN 19 697 870 812) in Perth, Western Australia. We designed it to collect as little as possible. The app is available on the App Store.
What we collect
No automatic personal-data collection. Golden Wattle does not require an account or contain third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. You can use the app without providing your name or email. If you choose to email us, we receive the information you send as described below.
- On-device data only. Your practice progress, mock-exam history, bookmarks, reading progress, test date, settings and spaced-repetition state are stored on your device. The app does not upload them to us. Device backups are governed by your Apple settings.
- No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites. The app declares no tracking domains.
- No data collection categories. In App Store terms: Data Used to Track You — None; Data Linked to You — None; Data Not Linked to You — None.
Diagnostics
The app registers for Apple's MetricKit, which provides Apple-aggregated, non-identifying performance and crash diagnostics. This contains no personal information and no study content.
Purchases
The weekly subscription and one-time Lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple's StoreKit supplies product and entitlement information so the app can display prices, unlock purchases and restore access. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's processing.
Optional support email
If you use "Report a problem with this question" or contact support, your email app opens a draft that you can review, edit or discard. Nothing is sent until you send it. The report draft includes the question identifier and booklet page reference. If you send an email, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include, and use them to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue.
We retain support correspondence and attachments only for as long as needed to respond to your request, investigate the reported issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. We review correspondence for deletion when it is no longer needed for those purposes. You may request deletion by emailing bijan@aphelionengineering.com.au. If we must retain particular information for a legal obligation, we limit that retention to the information and period required. Deleting the app does not delete emails you have sent us; app data and Apple-managed device backups are handled as described below.
Children
The app is rated 13+ and is a general-audience study aid. It does not automatically collect personal information from children.
Your rights
The app has no user-account database or server copy of your study progress. Deleting the app removes its local data; device backups are controlled through your Apple settings. If you have contacted us by email, you can contact us below to request access, correction or deletion of information in that correspondence, subject to applicable legal requirements.
